Choopa's Network Administration team plans, manages and optimizes network performance for global clients 24/7.

Day to day duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Setup and maintenance of new and existing network equipment (e.g., Cisco Catalyst 35xx, 35xx, 49xx, 65xx)
- Managing client IP allocations
- Interaction with clients via email, tickets, and phone
- Troubleshooting performance/speed issues, providing timely resolution
- Following up to ensure client satisfaction
- Making contributions to organizational knowledge base
- Collaboration with teammates

Desired Technical Qualifications
- 2+ years networking and experience in Linux/Unix administration (5 years is a plus)
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of local and wide area network technologies and topologies, including VLANs, 802.1Q, 802.3ad, and LACP
- Has a working knowledge of logical network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Is a team player
- Capable of working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Desired Technical Qualifications
- 1+ years administration experience in Linux/FreeBSD systems (hobbyist? OK!)
- Demonstrable involvement with open source community projects
- PHP Development preferably in a team/collaborative environment
- Object oriented programming
- Database development (ex: MySQL).
- E-commerce experience a plus

Non Technical Requirements
